diptych
My first diptych is of two images of "dead nature", the first of dried barnacles the second of dirty fake flowers. Although neither of the objects are alive the left images has more of an alive feeling seeing how the light is much warmer and the barnacles were once alive. The second image is a much darker composition with old fake flowers sitting next to a memorial plaque in the shade. All of my diptychs have contrasting light and in result of that contrasting feelings as well, while still looking to be somewhat unified.
My second diptych I choose images of two similar in function objects.. Once again the lighting plays a large role in the mood of each photo. The chain having a light brighter feeling and the ripping rope more tragic. I liked the contrast with the breakage of the rope next to the solid metal chain.
My last diptych is of Natasha my intention was to have the eye image on top of the smile image so it resembled a face making two different expressions at once. Although between weebly and my photo editting software not working I was unable to do it without Photoshop. I tried to contrast the images as much as possible with one much more exposed and intense than the softer, darker and warmer image on the right.
